Point 35 Plan

Plan:
The plan for our short film is to have someone acting a homeless person sat on some steps or just on the ground playing a guitar well. Then, we will have someone who is quite wealthy and can sing very well. He sings in choirs and plays classical music. The wealthy boy then runs away from home and comes across the homeless person in the street, who is playing his guitar. The wealthy boy and the homeless person eventually come together and start making music on the street. Pedestrians stop and listen to the music and really like it.  The two musicians become close friends and decide to try and get signed, but have no luck. They go through a lot together, such as heavy drug use, but they still carry on making music together, until they are noticed by a minor music label. The wealthy boy manages to persuade his parents to give them a start-up fund so that they can make it big in the music world. Eventually, the boys make it big and play music everywhere, including some very well-known festivals.

Point 34 Casting Shots

We have chosen these four people to be certain characters in our film. The man on the left is Mr McNeil, he will be acting the wealthy parent of the boy second from the left, Tommy Chadwick. Tommy is acting a young wealthy boy, who is very musically talented. The boy in the picture second from the right is Pie Borderie, he will be acting the homeless boy. And the woman in the far right picture is Mrs McNeil, she will be acting the wealthy mother of the wealthy son and is married to the wealthy man in the left picture.
We chose Mr and Mrs McNeil to be the wealthy parents because they are very capable actors and they both look slightly like Tommy, who will be acting their son.
We chose Tommy to be the wealthy boy because he is also a good actor and he can also sing and play the guitar well.
Pie was chosen as he too, is a good actor with a good singing voice. He can also play the guitar well.

Risk Assessment- Point 33

Risks for our film will be fairly limited. However this being said risks must be taken into account.

Tripping– Some of the filming locations will have hazardous conditions underfoot an could result in injury.
Broken Glass- we will be using glass in our filming which could potentially smash if mishandled.
Getting a Cold- cold conditions coupled with a poor immune system could result in- a potentially fatal- cold.

Shooting Locations- Point 32

These are photos taken from Elgin and from school, where we are going to film.
We chose Elgin because we found some dark alleyways and cool places to film the homeless character and we thought it would look good. We could really imagine where things would happen and take place in the photos we took.
We chose Gordonstoun house to be the wealthy boys home, as it is large and quite upper class. We also chose the music practice room and the recording studio in the music department. This is where most of the music will take place when the wealthy boy and the homeless boy come together.

Point 29- Our Moving Sound

In the clip that we are creating our group has decided to have a soundtrack through the whole of the clip, we have got the soundtrack from freeplaymusic.com. We have chosen the song Empty Chair by Eliot Pistor we decided to pick this song because it will fit our genre of independent film about music, this is because the song is indy and dramatic. We are not just going to use this for our sound because we are also going to add sounds that relate to the scene.
